Pre Nano (the Everglades)
On May 2, 2006, I was traveling to Everglades National Park with my dad, my wife Heidi, and my daughter Zoe. I wanted to make something real. I thought, “What is better than beer?” I mentioned to my dad that I should start a brewery. My dad joked, “You’ll drink all of your profits!” By making enough beer, I figured I could solve that problem.
So the idea got shelved, seasons changed, and I continued to drink beer instead of making it. Not all bad.
After returning home, I started to do some research and put together a folder with some business ideas. I had one requirement: I wanted a good business partner. I searched around a bit, but I just could not find the right fit.
