Cycling at Maine Beer Company
We don't know why biking and beer go together so well, they just do.
Bike & Brew
Join us Thursday nights from May-September as we partner with L.L. Bean for our weekly Bike & Brew rides. The 22- mile route begins and ends at Maine Beer Company, and is a self-supported, moderate skill group ride through the back roads of Freeport, Yarmouth, North Yarmouth, and Pownal.

Custom Frames by Independent Fabrication
If Dave’s not in the office, he’s out on a cycling adventure. And he’s almost certainly drinking a beer afterwards. Shortly after opening Maine Beer Company with his brother, Dave’s love of cycling lead us to become a sponsor of the Bicycle Coalition of Maine, who are the statewide voice of cyclists. Since 1992, the Bicycle Coalition has led the effort to make Maine better for biking and walking.
Two years later, while riding on the week long BikeMaine event, Dave thought of another way to share his love for bicycles with everyone: to create a custom Maine Beer Company bicycle and have all of the proceeds benefit the Bicycle Coalition of Maine. After reaching out to Independent Fabrication, one of the few custom bicycle manufacturers in New England, Dave designed a bicycle frame fit for a brewery.
SSR Frame with Carbon Fork
A perfect example of the evolution of steel, the SSR (Stainless Steel Road) uses the most modern steel tubeset available today: Columbus XCr. Seamlessly made and designed specifically for extremely high fatigue resistance when welded, XCr is a natural choice for the SSR. Rider-specific tubing, fully custom geometry, and exquisite welds make for a race worthy and corrosion resistant (and shiny) steel frame superior to any before it.
Club Racer Frame and Fork
The Club Racer is the Swiss army knife of the IndyFab line up, and a favorite among Maine Beer Company riders. Loaded up or stripped down, it offers versatile performance! This frameset incorporates traditional road bike geometry paired with all of the options for light touring. It is designed for long reach caliper brakes to accommodate fenders and slightly larger tires. The Club Racer makes an excellent commuter bike, rainy day trainer, or light-touring rig.
