Facilities Maintenance Employee

Maine Beer Company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Facilities Maintenance Employee. Primary job responsibilities include keeping the brewery/tasting room building maintained and looking new. The employee will report to the Plant Operations and Facilities Manager and follow daily, weekly and monthly cleaning and maintenance schedules. Additional projects may be assigned as necessary.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

Cleaning various areas of the facility including offices, employee area/kitchen, the tasting room, and the brewery. Includes vacuuming, dusting, washing windows, cleaning restrooms, handling trash/recyclables, and washing/polishing the brewery floor. Additional duties include making minor repairs and painting throughout the facility to keep up a fresh appearance, and some light landscaping.

General requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 50-pounds, be comfortable on ladders, and spending much of the day on your feet. The ideal candidate will have light construction experience (carpentry, painting) and good mechanical aptitude. The ideal candidate will be someone willing to take the initiative to undertake projects with guidance/assistance from the Plant Operations and Facilities Manager. Attention to detail is very important, as well as some schedule flexibility (occasional night or Saturday/Sunday work is necessary).

Job hours/benefits:

The position is 40-hours per week, and paid hourly. General working hours are from 7 am to 3 pm, Monday thru Friday. Benefits include health insurance, three weeks of paid time off and access to retirement benefits (401K).
